In memory of

John MacKenzie

June 5, 1947 -  August 23, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John MacKenzie on Sunday August 23, 2020.
He died suddenly at home from natural causes surrounded by his caring family.

John was a loving husband to Valerie for 47 years. He was a supportive father to Andrea and Brenda and their husbands Joe and Joshawa. He enjoyed his time as a grandfather, amusing T.J., Mackenzie, Mayumi, and Emmett. Predeceased by his father Frank, John leaves behind his 98 year old mother Mollie, who will feel the loss deeply and the daily phone calls they enjoyed. John was a big brother to Patricia and her husband Ed who live in Mississauga as well as to Ron and his wife Lucy, who reside in Vietnam.

John will be laid to rest in a designated natural burial site at Meadowvale Cemetery consisting of wildflowers and adjacent to a wildlife preservation area.

John spent 73 years rich with love from his family. He enjoyed cooking, golfing, viewing sports, and travelling.

He will be dearly missed.

Although the funeral service at the cemetery is for family only, please join us via the live stream at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28th.

Our Sincerest Condolences to Valerie, Brenda, Andrea and Family.
He was a good man and friend, not so good golfer, but we had lots of fun and the cold ones afterwards made up for the miscues on the golf course.
You will be missed.
Rest in Peace
Al

John was the nicest guy I ever worked with. He was always willing to help and he was never in a bad mood. After he retired, he remained a good friend. He would drop everything and pick up our daughter whenever we asked.
He was one of a kind.
