In memory of

William Jack Veffer

December 23, 1956 -  February 7, 2020

Suddenly on February 7th, 2020 William “Jack” Veffer” passed away in his home in Toronto, Ontario. We welcome you to his celebration of life service on Friday, February 28th, 2020 at 12:00pm at Pine Hills Cemetery located at 625 Birchmount Road in Scarborough.

Jack was born in Toronto on December 23rd, 1956 son of the late Layola and Joseph Simpson. Brother to Joe (Ruth), Ernie (Bev), Valerie (Ed), predeceased by Gladys, Sandra (George), and little brother George. In his late teens Jack fell in love with his soul mate Patricia and married her shortly thereafter. Jack and Patricia welcomed 4 children, Aaron (Katrina), Layola (George), Holly (Justin) and Adam (Jessica). Loving Grandfather to Damian, Nick, Christian, AJ, Brandon, Nicholas, Alexandra, Rachael-Lynn, Cameron, Haydain, Liam, Tyler, Laura, Lilia.

Jack was a bit rough around the edges, but when he loved you, he loved you. He would do anything for his Family and Friends. He could be loud, boisterous and had a great sense of humour but also tenacious and wouldn’t ask for help when in times of need. Though he had a rough exterior, he was kind, and had an unmatched talent by turning other people’s toss away’ into beloved treasures.

Jack will be greatly missed by his siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his cherished friends from Flash.

May you now be at Peace and be dancing in the stars with your beloved Patricia

To My dearest Father to whom I called "Pops" I love you no matter how many difference of opinion we may have had. I planned to come visit, last June. I was supposed to see you in December, after mom's memorial but got side tracked with the kids. My children will always remember who their papa was, I will always continue to tell some of the wild and outrageous stories that made you, you, and me the Father and Man I have become today. Rest in Peace Pops.

Dad,

What can I say? We are so much alike, stubborn, hard headed and loved with everything in us. You taught me how to stand up for myself, how to dive so that I could be a better swimmer, you taught me confidence and how to be independent. We could disagree and argue our points for hours, days and months but also meet up and laugh and chat for hours about everything and nothing. Dad, I love you, your grandchildren love you and you will be greatly missed. May you now Rest in Peace our dear Father.
