William Chi Wai Ng, 80, left suddenly to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 16, 2019.

He leaves behind his wife, Esther; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Eugene Huo; son, Andrew; granddaughters, Jacqueline and Natasha; and many loving extended family and friends.

Bill was born on March 3, 1939 in Chungking, Szechuan, China. In 1951 Bill moved to Windsor, Ontario to live with his maternal grandparents. That is where he went to school and worked until moving to Toronto in 1961.

In Toronto he was blessed to meet some Chinese Christian students and he joined the Chinese Presbyterian Church. He also met the Ling family who welcomed him and shared God’s love and fellowship with him. It is through the Lings that he met Esther, who would soon become his wife.

Throughout his life Bill has always worked hard to take care of others. He sent money home starting before high school to support his parents and siblings, supported his children through school, helped care for his grandchildren when they were younger, volunteered for many years at CPC and the CYMCI, and spent countless hours waiting during choir and other rehearsals to then drive his family home.

Bill will be remembered for being friendly and gentle, with a mischievous sense of humour. He loved watching sports of all kinds, going for long drives, taking cruises with extended family (but never leaving the ship), eating seafood, serving in any way he could at church, tending to his plants and watching his grandchildren grow up. He will be missed but we know he is now home with our Heavenly Father and we will see him again one day.
