Late on July 8, 2021, William (Bill) Volasko, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 77 surrounded by his family at North York General Hospital.

Bill was born Ulrich Hartmut Volasko on January 21, 1944 in Gleiwitz, Germany to Joseph & Ilse (Krebs) Volasko. At the age of 7, his family immigrated to Canada.

Remembered fondly with his ever-smiling face and contagious laugh, Bill had always wanted to be a father, and was indeed a father figure to his two younger brothers, John (deceased) and Michael. His dream came true with the birth of his first and only son, Andrew, on October 31, 1987. He is survived by his wonderful wife Sandra (Sandy) of 33 years, their son Andrew, his brother Michael and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held in August (date TBD) to honour and memorialize Bill the way he would have wanted: with plenty of wine, food, laughs, and hugs.
