In memory of

William "Bill" Chubb

June 2, 1942 -  December 4, 2022

The Chubb family is saddened to announce the loss of Bill, who passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2022, in his 80th year. Proud father to Christine, loving partner to Lena Belanger, and beloved brother-in-law to Arlene. Bill will also be dearly missed by his nephew Drew, and many dear friends. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy and his sister Sandy (Dave).

A great lover of sports, Bill was a longtime member of the Granite Club and the Don Mills Tennis Club. When not on the curling rink or the tennis court, Bill could be found on the golf course, or at a Blue Jays game. He was a longtime supporter of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and greatly enjoyed listening to jazz Sunday afternoons at The Rex. Bill loved a Sunday BBQ with the family, fishing trips, dancing, and travel.

Bill attended high school at York Memorial before pursuing a career as an accountant. For over 30 years he worked at HH Angus as an Assistant Controller.

His family would like to thank the caring, supportive staff at Lakeside Long-term Care Home for their compassion and kindness during his final days.

A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Centre on Sunday, December 11th at 1:30 pm and a reception will follow. In lieu of floral tributes, the Chubb family kindly asks that you consider making a donation in Bill’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. The Chubb family greatly appreciates your ongoing support during this difficult time.

Bill and I both worked at HH Angus for many years and on occasion we played golf together. He was a very kind and caring person and will be missed.

Enjoyed kibitzing with Bill and golfing on odd occasions.
I started at HH Angus a year after Bill in 1980. Still working today as a retiree on contract and people like Bill made for a great work environment at a great company.
Always enjoyed his 'sly' smile and sense of humour.
