So very sad to hear of Bill’s passing, I’m sure he will be welcomed by Lorraine and Debbie and all the family! Much love to you all, Liz
Uncle Bill was a beloved brother to my mother, Jean Porter Horn and their sister, Eileen Porter Jarrett (Doug). Their antics as children were of Hollywood proportion. While their personal lives may have diverged in time and place, the three of them were bound together by their exceptional story telling skills, witty word play, side-splitting humour, personal integrity, compassion, generosity and Christian faith. While Eileen passed away nearly 20 years ago, Jean and Bill kept her memory vibrantly alive with a roster of their stories. Jean and Bill died 9 days apart; the three siblings are together, once more. Pour the tea; pass the biscuits. Let us rejoice! Earth’s Loss: Heaven’s Gain.
What a wonderful man, kind, friendly, compassionate, he will certainly be missed.
