With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Wilena (Wincey) Knox, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Wilena peacefully left us on January 4, 2025, following a long illness, surrounded by love in the comfort of her home during her final days in palliative care.

Wilena will be deeply missed by her daughter Denise Knox, her son Ron (Anna) Knox, and her beloved grandson Christopher Knox. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Sister Margaret Wincey, f.j., her niece Nadine (Shawn) Grimm, and grandnephew Evan Grimm.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Tom; her parents, William Wincey and Margaret Riley; and her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sheila Wincey.

Wilena was known for her love of reading, her exceptional talent as a seamstress, and her remarkable skills in the kitchen. Her warmth, creativity, and dedication to her family and friends will forever be remembered.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. with a memorial gathering an hour prior. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated by the family.
