Wayne Anthony Gooding

March 19, 1948 - September 20, 2024

Wayne Gooding passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Bridgepoint Hospital.

He will be missed by his beloved long-time partner Peter, his godson Arden, and his many dear friends and family.

Wayne was born in Shrewsbury, England and moved to Canada in 1970.

A Visitation, Celebration of Life and Witnessing will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Opera Canada Magazine (https://operacanada.ca/).

In the 1980s, I worked with Wayne during his journalist days at the Financial Post. Wayne was a good writer, a good friend and so good hearted. Condolences to Peter and all the family.
