In memory of

Janina Slowinski

September 15, 1942 -  November 7, 2016

“One of the hardest things you will ever have to do, my dear, is to grieve the loss of a person who is still alive” – Author unknown

It is with great sadness that the family of Janina Slowinski announces her passing after a lengthy fight with Alzheimer’s disease. She passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2016, at the age of 74 years.

Janina was the beloved soulmate and wife of 50 years to Henryk, loving Mama to daughters Dorota (Krzysztof), Violetta (Kevyn) and son Waldemar (Norheen), and cherished Babcia to her grandchildren Jacob, Aliyaah, Michael and Sarah.

You fought bravely and now you are free! We will always love and miss you. Rest in peace, until we see you again…

The family will receive visitors between 6 and 9pm on Friday, November 11, 2016, at the Meadowvale Funeral Centre at 7732 Mavis Road in Brampton, ON, L6Y 5L5.
A funeral service will follow on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 11am at Saint Eugene de Mazenod Catholic Church, located at 1252 Steeles Avenue West in Brampton, ON, L6Y 0A9.

Those who so desire may make donations in memory of Janina to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

Do not ask me to remember,
Don’t try to make me understand,
Let me rest and know you’re with me,
Kiss my cheek and hold my hand.
I’m confused beyond your concept,
I am sad and sick and lost.
All I know is that I need you
To be with me at all cost.
Do not lose your patience with me,
Do not scold or curse or cry.
I can’t help the way I’m acting,
Can’t be different though I try.
Just remember that I need you,
That the best of me is gone,
Please don’t fail to stand beside me,
Love me ’til my life is done.
