Grandpa was very kind hearted and caring. He would always ask how we were doing, and ensure we’ve had enough to eat, with ice cream ready for dessert.
His gentle wave, and “okayyyy” always brought a sense of ease.
He loved his rocking chair, and loved sharing photographs and stories from his past. His life was full of adventure and experience that we will all cherish.
Thank you for everything.
Su Shi(蘇軾), the greatest Poet in Sung Dynasty, once said:
天涯踏盡紅塵路, 人生逆旅我自行。
This is exactly what Frank Sinatra's song said:
I Did It My Way.
There is another song in the seventy called "Dust in the Wind" sung by Kansas also very meaningful.
The Lyrics said:
I close my eyes, only for a moment
And the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song, just a drop of water
In an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground
Though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Oh, ho, ho
Now, don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind [x2]
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind [x2]
The wind

My condolences to the Yee Family.
May Uncle Yee rest in peace.
Dear John Yee and Yee Family:
I've known Uncle Yee for a long time. Right coming out of college, went to his home to visit many times. Remembered him vividly with his picture standing beside an aircraft. :) He was always full of energy and wouldn't care if there was a world war in this world. Great inspiration for all. On behalf of my family, Farewell! "La Dolce Vita!" For Uncle Yee.
Remembered fondly the visits to Sands Point New York of Annie and Wai Ming Yee and John.
