譚惠娟夫人 Wai Kuen Hum

November 29, 1936 -  December 8, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of Waikuen Hum on December 8,2023 at the age of 87. She is survived by husband Wayne , children Shirley , Nancy and Jimmy. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Matthew,Stephen, Isla ,Thea , and son-in-law Michael.
Waikuen was born in Hoipeng , Kwantung , China . She came to Canada in 1963 to join her husband in Montreal. She worked as a seamstress while raising a growing family . She enjoyed playing mah-jong and cooking . She liked to experiment -she once tried making chilli oil while all the house windows were closed, choking everyone in the house. She enjoyed eating out with friends and was an avid traveller- trips to China , Hong Kong, and visiting her children and grandchildren across Canada and US

Dear Nancy & Family,

Your mom was one of the best friends our family had. She was generous, kind and so supportive over the years. She will be greatly missed. I’m sure she and my mom are up above having their marathon talks.
