In loving memory of a resilient man, our dear father, Wah Sam Wong (黃华森), passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the age of 76, with his son, Alex and daughter, Tina by his side.

Born on July 8, 1947, in Guangzhou, China, our father was the youngest of eight children. He is survived by his two elder sisters, Nancy Yu (黄月星), who is 97 years of age, living in Toronto and Yueying Huang (黄月影), who is 90 years of age, living in China.

He immigrated to Canada in 1981 and saved all his hard work earnings to buy his forever home in Toronto. He single handedly did majority of the home renovations on his own, with diligence and paying great attention to detail. He was often commended and praised by his superiors on his meticulous work.

He found happiness and enjoyment through collecting antiques, coins and finding rare gems and stones. On a yearly basis, he loved attending the Canadian National Exhibition (C.N.E.) to see all the exhibits.

He was resilient and strong-willed. When his illness was diagnosed, both his children were distraught and not once did he shed a tear. He calmly accepted his fate and put things in order to fight. His children were often amazed with his tenacity and how he persevered through life, especially during this challenging journey.

In honouring his memory, let us remember the love he gave and the strength he imparted, leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In eternal rest, our father is now reunited with his mom (白锦蝶) and dad (黄如宽), including his five other siblings.
