I came to know Wah-hang in Hong Kong in the 70s during some social occasions. He was such a friendly, considerate, joyful and well-mannered gentleman and was always welcome by everyone in the circle.
During the later years, Wah-hang joined the Royal Hong Kong Police Force and was posted to the Marine Police most time in his career until immigrated to Canada in the 80s. It is quite certain that the first generation of immigrants always have to work extremly hard to set up his family with bared-handed and raise the kids in order to settle in the new environment. By the time I paid my visit to him after some 20 years, I am so pleased to see Mak has achieved all. I am also deeply impressed his next generation, his only child, Gerald has grown up with higher educational achievement and has a bright career.
Today, Mak stepped down after all the hard work he had done throughout his life, I am confident to say, It is a success, a real success in the way as a Husband, Father and a Friend..
May I pray for my dear friend to rest in peace.

I came to know Mak in the mid-70, during a social occasion with other friends in Wanchai. He was well-dressed and also asked me for joining the Police Forces which he joins sometimes later. i met him quite often after his graduation from the Police School. He impressed me as a friendly; joyful person with passionate and ambition for a bright future. However, he later immigrated to Canada to start a new life with his family. Few years ago, he came back to visit me with his family, Hannah and Gerald. Gerald is so smart and polite that make me feel MAK had contributed all he has to support his family wholeheartedly and so as Gerald.
I feel sorrow and regret for Mak's departure. I also wish my good friend to rest and in peace forever.
