In memory of

Richard Kan 簡國基 (煥賢)先生

July 25, 1934 -  May 3, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Richard Kan, who left us peacefully on May 3, 2025 at Birchmount Hospital in Scarborough, Ontario, at the age of 90.

Our father was a man of great strength, kindness, and integrity. He devoted his life to his family, and his unwavering love and guidance was the foundation of our lives. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nora; his daughters, Celly, Gigi, and Heidi; and his grandson, Jamie, who will forever cherish the memories of his warmth, wisdom, sense of humor and never-ending stories.

Our father’s legacy of love, strength, and devotion will continue to inspire us, and his memory will remain in our hearts forever.

Please join the family for a reception following the service.

Richard is always full of humours and positive thinking man. We started our teacher and student in Chinese Opera in 1996. We went together with our classmates to Carribean Boat Cruise. Every night, Richard told me some stories with substance. He had a beautiful voice to sing. He is the perfect match with Nora. Now he is in heaven. May God bless him and give comforts to his family members especially my beloved god mother Nora.

God bless all of you.
