In memory of

Vladimir Kozyrevich

August 8, 1937 -  December 17, 2024

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and husband Vladimir Kozyrevich, who left us on December 17th, 2024, at the age of 87. Vladimir was truly a unique and remarkable man, known for his humour, kindness, intelligence and his positive outlook on life.

Vladimir lived an extraordinary life, shaped by his childhood experienced during World War II and later living through the war in Chechnya. Despite the challenges, he achieved significant milestones in his career, exemplifying an exceptional work ethic. Vladimir worked as a Chief Engineer and Director of Radio and Television in Russia, lived and worked in New York City, and finally worked in Cashcod in Toronto, where he retired in 2015.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Vladimir had many talents and pursued a wide range of hobbies. He was an avid fisherman, camper, and gardener. He excelled at winemaking, cooking homemade sausages and shashlik, and singing. Vladimir’s personality, stories, and legacy will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate to know him.

He is survived by his devoted wife Alla, his loving daughter Olena, son-in-law Fedor, and his cherished granddaughters Alicia and Alla, who will miss him deeply.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their kind words of encouragement, support, and presence during this difficult time.

Anyone who has met my grandfather can attest that he was one of a kind. Such a beautiful, strong, and intelligent soul that embodied all the things you would look up to in a grandfather, husband, and father. I was fortunate enough to have him as my role model growing up. He taught me so much about life and shared his world wisdom's with me. It deeply saddens me to let him go, but he will forever be a part of my and my family's heart. We will forever cherish all the beautiful memories and laughter he brought into our lives, from all our camping trips, fishing trips, sitting by the bonfire listening to his stories, and celebrations. May his soul rest in peace; he will always live on through us, and we will continue to make him proud.
