Vincenzo Vincent D'Aprile

March 5, 1951 -  March 21, 2023

Peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, March 21 at the age of 72 after a valiant 5-year battle against Cancer. Loving and devoted husband to Joyce for 24 years, cherished and beloved brother to Laura, Frank (Debbie), and Nino (Joanne). Proud uncle to Madeleine (Roy Elton), Anthony A E (Andrea), James Francesco (Melissa), Daniel, Anthony Sebastian, and Veronica. Wise and supportive Great uncle to Ryan, (Courtney), Nicole, (Bryan), Roy Jr., (Alyssa), Olivia, Matheson, Miles, Mason, and Sebastian. Great-great uncle to Logan-Anthony, Jolene-Pasqua, and soon to be born Liberty-Marie and Roy-Jason.

Vince will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for years to come for his warm and loving nature, his kindness and understanding, his generosity and equanimity, his brilliant mind and wide-ranging knowledge. Among his many life accomplishments, he was a brilliant chess player and strategist, a production manager and mechanical genius and the co-owner of Pastificio D'Aprile Inc.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Rd.). A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre followed by a service in the chapel. A link to livestream the funeral service will become available on Tuesday, day of service, at the top of this page at approximately 12:45 pm. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Vincent may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and CCRAN (Colorectal Cancer Resource & Action Network).

It’s with a heavy heart that find myself writing here. I didn’t have the opportunity to know Vince but have been blessed to know his wife Joyce, who is exceptional and he must have been too. Our heartfelt condolences m. May Vince’s memory be a blessing

Vinnie was a good friend and former neighbour. We served on the board at 170 Roehampton together .
He will be missed by many people especially Joyce. The cancer battles are over. Heaven gained another angel . I will miss the service as I am away. Hugs and sympathy and prayers and condolences.

Joyce, I may have only met Vince in person one time but I got to know him through your posts. His always smiling face in your posts were joyful and uplifting to see and even when he was so ill, just being with you kept him from despairing. Beshert is a perfect description of your love and it will never fade… xoxo.
