In memory of

Vincent Fyfle

February 10, 1959 -  November 13, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Vincent Fyfle, on November 13th, 2022, with loving family by his side. He will be greatly missed by his wife Christine and daughter Katrina. Vince will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Margaret, Elizabeth, Stephen and Robert, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Bruce, Carol, Mary Ellen, Donna and Frances.

Vince was taken from us far too soon, after a courageous battle with cancer, but the life he led was full of kindness, caring and love for his family and friends. He was devoted to his wife and daughter, always making their happiness a priority. As the youngest of ten children, he would drop everything to help out his older siblings whenever they needed him.

Vince’s other loves in life were his woodworking, astronomy, and spending time at the cottage in Tiny Township. He enjoyed renovating and fixing up the cottage, and was always working on a project. Also, Vince loved sitting by the woodstove fire, watching the Leafs play. He was the quintessential Leafs fan, as loyal as they come. Every new season he really hoped to, once again, see them hoist the Stanley Cup!

Many times, if it was a clear and starry night, Vince would be outside pointing out constellations, planets and meteors. As we mourn the loss of Vince in the coming days, months and years, may we find comfort as we look up into the stars and feel the same joy and sense of wonder he experienced when he was looking into the clear night sky with us.

Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Rd., north of St. Clair Ave. E., Scarborough) for visitation on Wednesday, November 30th from 5-7 p.m.  A Memorial Service will be held in the Pine Hills Chapel on Thursday, December 1st at 2 p.m. Reception to follow.

David & I spent many happy hours together with Vince over 20 years ago watching our young daughters practice & compete on their synchronized skating teams at the East York Skating Club. Vince was a valued member of the “Synchrodads” synchronized skating team, entertaining us all at the annual ice show. Vince also assisted us on several occasions repairing valued wood furniture. He will be missed.

He was happy, kind and friendly to all. Always willing to help out. A sweet soul. I still can't believe he's gone.
