In memory of

Vienna Demarris Beers

October 16, 1934 -  December 23, 2022

Died peacefully, after a short stay in the hospital on December 23, 2022, in her 88th year. Dee was the loving wife of the late Charles Frederick for over 64 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Kathryn (Wayne) and the late Greg (Debbie). She was a proud Granny to Megan, Colin (Cassie), Katie and Erin. Her passions were tennis and spending time with friends, made both on and off the court. She was a force to be reckoned with on the court. Off the court, all were welcome in the home she made with Freddie, especially to enjoy summers by the pool and the annual Boxing Day party. She loved music, dancing, and was happy if she found herself with a beach nearby. The family wishes to thank the staff at Scarborough General Hospital for their care and compassion during her stay. We are consoled by knowing she's now reunited with Freddie and Greg.

A visitation will take place on Monday, January 2, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2022, at 2 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior. The visitation and funeral will be located at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre Pickering, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Our sympathies go out to you, Kathryn, Debbie and families. We go back many years - on the tennis courts and socially. We have fond memories of Dee walking her dog and ending up at our house for a “wee” one.
May she Rest In Peace.

So glad that we went out of our way to visit you both in '19; had heard so much about you over the years. Sorry that we didn't attend Freddie's funeral, but are hard-pressed to attend yours. Rest in peace.

Our condolences to all family members. It is a heartbreak to experience loss when one loses a family member especially a parent. God Bless.

I met Dee many years ago when I joined the TamHeather Club to play in the day tennis competitive league.
Dee and Marina were playing as a team and were tough to beat.
Dee’s dedication kept that team going for many years.

Dee would often walk her dog(s) over to the Guildwood tennis courts, and when we were having our evening league she would often have a seat to watch and a chat.

When her granddaughter played on the team, Dee was there to cheer her on.

Condolences to her family.

Anne
