In memory of

Victoria "Vicky" Georges Russell

February 5, 1954 -  December 31, 2021

Sadly, at 67, our beloved Victoria Russell passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 31, 2021, in her home. While it was unexpected, the Most High wanted to take her home to greener pastures. An unbelievable loss for us and a wonderful gain for the heavens.

Victoria was born on February 5th, 1954, in Toronto, Ontario, to Victor and Helen Georges.
She is one of 7 siblings, the middle child. She was a miracle birth, a preemie, weighing in at 2lbs and hearing impaired. Life was a little different for her in this world. She attended deaf schools and worked in her family's restaurant growing up. She was thoughtful and selfless, kind and caring. She was so sweet and loving, always the best person she could be to her family and friends.

Vicky met her (late) husband Gerald Russell when she was 18. They have two children together, Gerry and Kristy and had been together until 2006, when Gerald passed away.
Victoria is survived by her two children, grandchildren, stepchildren and great-grandchildren, with one on the way, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews and numerous others.

She very much enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially all her grandchildren in whom she could never get enough of. She loved playing cards, winning at board games and summer nights, sitting around the fire telling stories. She liked going for walks as well as feeding the birds and squirrels. She had a fondness for animals, and they had a special connection with her. She had a knack for sewing and could fix anything. Vicky was very independent and determined; even with all the challenges in life, nothing could keep her from doing and being her best. She worked hard and absolutely loved with her whole entire heart.

Victoria touched many lives with her generosity, big heart and passion for life. She will be deeply, deeply missed and will live on through our hearts, memories, family, and friends forever.

My heartfelt condolences to all of the Russell family. So sorry to hear of your loss.
Even though we didn't get the chance to talk often with Vicki, every time we reconnected it was as if no time passed at all.
It is important that you know how proud she was of each of you kids (and grandkids). She bragged about you with pride.
Thinking of you at this time with love,
Kim Jarvis Tilley
