THORNTON, Vicki Arlene
Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on August 16, 2021 at the age of 68. Loving mother of Sarah Merritt (nee Thornton) and Michael Thornton. Cherished grandmother of Abigail and Jack Merritt. Devoted daughter of Don and Winifred Downey, and sister of William and Don Jr. Vicki will be missed by many extended family and friends and will be forever remembered for the generosity and support that she gave to those around her. The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring nursing staff of Lakeridge Health for the compassion and professionalism shown to Vicki and her family. As per the family’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service; arrangements are entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787). Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for the Toronto Humane Society.
