Peacefully, on October 30, 2023, Veronica Mary Milczarski (nee. Yarek) passed away surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle. Predeceased by her loving husband Henry and forever in the hearts of her daughter Amber (Tracey) and her grandchildren Austin, Noah and Bailey. She will be dearly missed by her loving sisters Villa Steeves, Terri Hobbs (Robert), Julie DeRose, and Rita McGran (Bill) and predeceased by her brothers Damien and Raymond. Veronica will also be remembered as the sassy, loving and hilarious aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She valued all of her friendships and relationships dearly and would do anything for anyone. As a final show of her generosity, Veronica was able to donate her corneas to help others regain their sight. Veronica also valued her work and being a part of the Metro family was something that she appreciated deeply.

The family would like to sincerely thank the work of the Clarington Fire Department, Durham Region Paramedic Services and the kindness of the Emergency Department Nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, your empathy and professionalism will not be forgotten.

There will not be a formal visitation or service at this time, but a celebration of life will be planned in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bowmanville Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
