Passed away peacefully on January 7, 2019 at Emmanuel House at the age of 91. Predeceased by his wife Mārīte. Remembered by nieces in Brazil, cousins in Canada and many friends and collegues in Canada, USA and his beloved Latvia.

Visitation at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home Robinson Chapel on Sunday January 13 from 12:30 to 2pm.

Funeral will take place at York Funeral Centre and Cemetary 160 Beecroft Rd. Toronto on Monday January 14 with visitation at 12pm, memorial service and interment at 1pm.

As per Verners’ wishes, donations to Latvian Newspaper “Latvija Amerikā” or Latvian Relief Society “Daugavas Vanagi Hamilton” would be appreciated.
