We are saddened to announce the passing of Verka Misic. Verka passed away surrounded by the love of her family on September 8, 2021 in Brampton.

Verka was a loving wife to Nikola for over 50 years (deceased) and Mother to Violeta and Zaneta (Jenny), Mother-in-Law to Dragan Vasovic and David Purves and loving Grand Mother to Jelena, Sonja (deceased), Alexander and Lucas.

Verka was born in a small village in Macedonia to humble beginnings. She married our father at 18 and courageously travelled with him to start a new life first in Germany and then immigrated to Canada in 1968 pregnant with her first child. Together they raised their daughters, watched their family welcome Grandchildren, and had a successful business.

Verka loved her family very much and loved spending as much time as possible with everyone. She would always greet us with a smile, prepared our favorite Macedonian dishes of Sarma, Graff or Banica and ensured she always had treats waiting to give to her grandchildren.

While we will miss her deeply on Earth, it gives us solace to know she is now in Heaven resting in peace with her husband Nikola and Grand Daughter Sonja who she missed dearly.
