Vera Kronbergs, nee Petersons, born in Daugavpils, Latvia, passed away peacefully at home on October23, 2016 in Toronto, Canada at the age of 86. Daughter of Vasilijs and Lidija Petersons (nee Holanders), granddaughter of exiled Metropolits Augustins Petersons, Vera graduated from U of T and faithfully served as a nurse in Mt. Sinai Hospital for 42 years, including management positions in Emergency and Elective Outpatient Surgery. Beloved wife of Talivaldis Edvins Kronbergs for 60 years, mother of Valters “Walter” and Linda Maruta (Henry). In lieu of flowers, Vera requested donations be made to the Latvian National Federation in Canada (reference: LNAK Izglitibas and Kulturas Fonds).
