It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their wonderful mother and grandmother in her 98th year. Predeceased by her spouse Leo. Vera is survived by her children Paul (Judy) and Sandy Shovlin. Grandchildren Jason, Sarah, Emily, and Emma. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Supportive Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their kind and exemplary care. A Celebration of Vera’s Life will be held at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Saturday October 27th, 2018 from 1p.m. to 3p.m. If desired donations can be made to the Supportive Care Unit 4F at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. www.etouch.ca

My condolences to the entire family. It has been many many years since I last had the pleasure of seeing Vera but she was always warm and kind and loving and always made me feel like one of her own grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed.
