In memory of

Vera Ivancic

April 28, 1936 -  January 7, 2022

Vera (Cendol) Ivancic was born April 28, 1936 in Jevscek Yugoslavia (now Slovenia). She was one of seven children born to Ivan and Rosalia (Coceanig) Cendol. She immigrated to Canada where she met and married her husband of fifty-four years, Joseph Ivancic. They married on April 21, 1956 in Port Arthur Ontario and later moved to Toronto where for many years both earned a living through their hard work in a tanning and leather factory. Their son David was born in 1964. Sadly, Vera lost her son David in 2008 and husband Joseph in 2010.
Vera was kind and generous keeping close ties with her siblings and their families in Cleveland Ohio, visiting yearly and sadly attending their funerals. Vera is survived by her brother Frank Cendol, nieces and nephews and their children in Ohio.
Vera never missed calling those close to her for their birthdays and on special occasions. She will be greatly missed.
In her words 'God bless you'.

Donations in Vera's memory can be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My Dearest Teta Vera, I have so many happy memories of when you came to visit us in Cleveland with Stric and Davey. We lived downstairs from Grandma and Teta Albina and the whole family would always gather together on Sundays at Grandma's. Now you are all gathering up in heaven just like old times.
