In memory of

Veena Sarin

March 6, 1925 -  March 5, 2020

The celebration of her life at Scarborough Gurdwara (Gursikh Sabha) at 905 Middlefield Rd.has been delayed.
This site will be updated once a new date has been selected.

Our mother passed away peacefully at home during the evening of March 5, 2020, the day before her 95th birthday.
She was a devoted wife to Dharam Pall Sarin and caring mother to her youngest son Sudhir, both deceased.
She is survived by her other sons Vinay and Sunil, daughters-in-law Poonam and Mary, grandchildren Ashwin, Anjali (married to Shane), Shonali (Married to Matthew) and Rebecca, great-grandchildren Sarina, Jay, Kara and Leah, and her companion and caregiver of her last 8 years, Jasbir Kaur, with whom she found a new lease of life.
Her generosity and selflessness with all will be sorely missed. She found joy in the happiness of others, never had an unkind word and always wore a welcoming smile.

Dear Vinay, Poonam and the Family

Both of us want to express our condolences on the passing away of Vinay ad Sunil's mother last week. She had a great life. Lucky are those who leave this life on earth peacefully.Nonethe;less, loosing your mother at any age is difficult but you must accept god's will and celebrate her long life. May her soul rest in peace and the family have the courage to accept her new abode.

Because of my recent open heart heart surgery from which I am still reecuperating, I personally won't be able to join you at either of the two functions. Hopefully, Bina will represent me as well.
