In memory of

Vassilios Filippidis

November 20, 1943 -  February 10, 2025

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Vassilios Filippidis, who left us on February 10th, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by his loving family.

Dad has joined our beloved mom and the love of his life (Thomai, 2021) in Heaven. They were married for 59 wonderful years. They enjoyed life to the fullest.

Caring and loving father to Linda (Rob), Evans and Danny (Kain). Proud and loving Papou to Jon Evans (Alyssa), Jeff Evans (Gabrielle), Taylor and Nicholas. Blessed with 4 great grandchildren Luke, Delphine, Charlie and Eloise.

Brother of Eva Romas (Alex), brother-in-law of Bill Divitcos (Mary), Ted Divitcos (Freda) and their families.

His greatest joy was spending time with his adored grandchildren, building forts and tents, and playing hide and seek. He loved taking his grandchildren to the park, going fishing, playing Lego for hours on end and going to the mall for that special toy.

Our dad was a devoted father who loved his family fiercely and unconditionally. Never hesitating to express his love and care for us. Family was his greatest pride and joy. We were truly blessed to have him. You are loved and will be missed and never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace. We love you Baba.

Visitation will take place at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough (North of St. Clair Ave E.) on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will begin at 11am with Burial to follow in Section 07.
