Vasilka Piluris (Tsila Popova)

January 25, 1928 -  September 5, 2021

Born January 25, 1928 - passed away peacefully on Sunday September 5, 2021 at Orchard Villa Nursing Home at the ripe old age of 93. Born in Selo D'mbeni, Kostur, Makedonia to the parents of Labro Popfilipof & Sofia Shmagranova with 5 other siblings: Luba (Dono) Rizov, Tsana (Trpo) Tsalis, Yana (Andriko) Angelkovski, Filo Popfilipov, Lina (Risto) Dimitrovski & families.

Even though she went through so much hardships, pain & suffering, separation during civil war time, adjusting to life from village to Russia to Macedonia & Canada. She was fearless, strong, hard-working, courageous woman & never complained. Always had a positive attitude & a happy disposition. She was one of a kind!!

Baba Tsila as she was lovingly called was dedicated to her family her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She had a big loving heart a wonderful warm smile, a good listener & full of wisdom. She was loved & respected by all & we will always cherish her memories. We loved her dearly, especially her 'pilinja na baba'. They loved her manjas & snake pita.

She is leaving behind her children Elizabeth (Angelo), Philip (Kathy), grandchildren Steven (Stephanie), Lydia (George), Mike (Joanna), P.J., Nicholas and great-grandchildren Evan, Breanna, her sister Lina, & many nieces’ nephews’ extended family & friends

May she rest in peace. Bog da te prosti baba Tsila...you have joined your beloved Micho & the rest of our deceased family. Also at this time the family would like to extend our thanks to the Michael Garron Hospital & Orchard Villa Nursing home for providing such great care for our mother. Greatly appreciated.
