In loving memory of Vasiliki (Bessie) Mandrapilias who passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on February 24th, 2022 in her 93rd year. Bessie was born in Koumousta, Greece and came to Canada in 1967 with her husband Christos and 4 young children, and shortly afterwards giving birth to their 5th child. Bessie is survived by her devoted husband Christos of 65 years. Cherished mother to Stella (Rick), Eva (George), George, Argie (Barry), and Ellen (Joe). Bessie was dear yiayia to 7 grandchildren (Kristin, Jamie, Jessica, Christopher, Katrina, Elizabeth, and Michael) and proyiayia to 3 great-grandchildren (Iris, Nikolai, and Julian) with another on the way. We will miss her love and devotion to her family, her humour, and her strength. She spent many years working in food service at a hospital, and cooked authentic Greek as well as newly learned Canadian cuisine at home. Bessie was an excellent gardener tending to the front yard and loved to sit on the front porch admiring her work. She will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed. Bessie is resting at York Funeral Centre with a service to be held on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022
