In memory of

Valerie Anne Wright

February 17, 1931 -  December 3, 2021

Valerie Anne Wright née Mason-Apps, born on February 17th, 1931, reached the impressive age of 90 and a half after valiantly battling cancer for nearly a decade. Having said that, she had a good quality of life during that time. We sadly lost her on December 3rd, 2021, passing away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Coming to Canada on a ship from England in 1957, she never thought she would stay in Canada but built a visionary life for a woman of that time. She will be lovingly remembered as a brillant, sensitive and compassionate lady, the righter of wrongs and generally a witty and feisty presence. She will be missed by her daughter, Adrienne, granddaughters, Arden and Megan, her niece Sarah Mason-Apps, (who lovingly cared for her during her long battle) her son in law, Christian and many more dear friends and family.

Valerie kept a bountiful garden, funny cats, a head of integrative medicine.
She was a woman of capability and action. Valerie was also exceedingly kind and shared her caring nature with me.As well her creativity, humour, wit, knowledge and daughter, Adrienne.

When in conversation with Valerie she offered you her full attention. A rare gift in this world of busy people with important things to attend to.
A loving and gentle soul.
All our love Adrienne to you and your family.
