In memory of

Valentins Fjodorovs

May 5, 1938 -  August 27, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Valentins Fjodorovs, who left this world on August 27, 2024, at the age of 86. Valentins was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, whose life was filled with warmth, joy, and an enduring sense of humor.

Valentins was born in Moscow, Russia, where he spent the early years of his life. Later, he moved to Latvia, where he met the love of his life, Ludmila, and had his daughter Sabina. Their 40 years of marriage were a testament to their deep love and companionship. Together, they built a life rich with memories and shared experiences.

In 2009, Valentins and Ludmila immigrated to Canada to be closer to their family. Valentins adored his family and is leaving behind his wife, Ludmila; daughter, Sabina Scafati, and her husband Marco; and his two cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Brandon Poon.

Valentins was known for his vibrant personality and infectious sense of humor. He welcomed everyone with open arms and was always the first to suggest a celebration. His favorite phrase, "Наливай," which means "Let's have a drink!", was a reflection of his love for bringing people together and sharing in the joys of life.

Valentins will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him will be remembered forever.

In honour of Valentins, the family requests that you raise a glass to celebrate the life he lived so fully.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of a truly wonderful person. My husband and I had the privilege of meeting Valentin and and his wife Ludmila over twenty years ago in Latvia, and the memories have stayed ever since. He was a warm hearted individual, always trying to make others smile, and was incredibly helpful in so many ways.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Ludmila, Sabina and her family during this difficult time. We will never forget the kindness and joy that he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in all who knew him.
