October 21, 1937 - April 27, 2022

The Abe family is saddened to announce the loss of Uno, who passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in his 84th year. Beloved partner to Carolyne King; proud father to Leonard (Lori), Stephen (Isabelle) and Michelle (Glen, 2021), Debbie (Martin), and Michael. Adored grandfather to Erin, Erik, Aleks, and "poppy" to Scott (Tina), Christopher, Katie (Alec) and Jordan; and cousin, Tiiu. Predeceased by his cherished wife, Marie; uncle, Aleksander; father, Andrei; mother, Olga; and brother, Hubert.

A visitation will be held at York Funeral Centre on Wednesday, May 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will occur on Thursday, May 5th, at 10 a.m., and an interment will follow at York Cemetery.

Sending you our deepest condolences for the loss of such a great man. Uno was such an easy going and friendly friend whom we always respected. Our two boys Anthony and Claudio are very saddened to have heard the news but they will never forget your fishing tips, your wonderful stories and your support and encouragement you gave them. Carol, may beautiful memories bring you peace during this difficult time. We are here for you if you need anything. Uno, may you rest in peace and we will never forget you and your morning waves.
