In memory of

顏黃雪太夫人 Tuyet Huynh

January 10, 1927 -  February 10, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Tuyet Huynh, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the age of 94. Devoted wife of the late Binh Nhan, loving mother of Toan (Fong), LeNgoc (Nam), LeKim (Bay), (late) Thanh (May), Minh (Chaico), Vic (Linh), Vihoa (Susan) and (late) LeChau. Cherished and proud Grandmother of Jonathan (Adrienne), Alex (Thao), Jason (Lucy), Brian (Lindsay), Kyle (Beth), Helen (Tjard), Vanessa, Emilie, Rebecca, Ryan, Thanh (Gaily), Karmen (Jeffrey), Jackie (Quinn), Carina (John), Donna (David), Becky (Jim). She will be sorely missed by her many great-grandchildren, Evie, Regan, Meredith, Molly, Matilda, Jayden, Rachel, Austin, Scarlett, Yvonne, Joey, Melissa, Jayson.

She will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, gentle manner and her devotion for her family. She spent hours in the kitchen cooking for her large family and never a word of complaint. Her children and grandchildren will miss her signature dishes and the happy times gathered in the family kitchen.

Tuyet was born in Fujian, China in 1927, during a tumultuous time when China was at war with Japan. Fearing for her safety, her parents arranged for Tuyet to be married in a nearby city at the age of 16. Tuyet always told her kids how luck was on her side when a handsome and charming young man showed up and swept her up her feet, who remained her best friend and devoted husband for the next 61 years.

Tuyet came to Canada to join her children in 1983 and quickly embraced Canada as her new country. Her children cherish the memories of her passion for theater and that she introduced them to the love of music and movies at a young age. She went about life in a reserved and quiet manner but remained a strong force behind her husband and the family business, and was an integral part of her children and grandchildren’s lives.

A special thanks to Tuyet’s grandson Thanh Lam and his family for giving her a safe and loving home in the last few years and our eternal gratitude to LeKim for tirelessly caring for Mom in her final years.

The Funeral arrangements made were entrusted with the York Funeral Home (160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, Ontario). Given the restrictions imposed due to Covid-19, the funeral was kept private to a few family members only. Family and extended members who could not attend in person joined the funeral ceremony through a livestream link.

We thank everyone for the beautiful flowers, and kind messages.
