Jessie Agnes Turner

Jessie Agnes Turner, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday June 17th at The Port Perry Hospital. She was born May 16th, 1926 in Timmins, Ontario to Scottish immigrants, Agnes and William France (gold miner).
She married her husband, Cecil Thomas Turner (pre- deceased), June 7th, 1947 and celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary June 7th, 2007.
She was a member of Frenchman’s Bay Yacht Club and Fairport Beach Neighborhood Association. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Winsor (Garry); and Christine Murphy (Colin); grandchildren Alison Barnes, Christopher Winsor, Ryan Murphy, Sean Murphy, and great-grandchildren Brayden and Colton Barnes, Olivia and Isla Murphy, and sister Betty Stevens.
Family, friends, and others whose life Jessie touched are invited to The Simple Alternative Funeral Center, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering on Saturday July 6th with Visitation at 11:00 am, a Celebration of Jessie’s Life at 12:00 noon, with reception to follow.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Jesse from over the years. We always loved going to her house with Uncle Cec after the Turner Golf Tournament every year. She was always so welcoming and I just loved her laugh.
She was also so kind to me and my kids. Such a loving family person.
