In memory of

Tu Thanh Nguyen

January 9, 1956 -  October 7, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Tu Nguyen, on October 7, 2023, at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Tu Nguyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam, on January 9, 1956, to parents Liem Nguyen and Nu Le. She was the devoted wife of the late Hong Van Le and loving mother to Stephanie Mazzotta (Sonni) and Alexander Le-Nguyen. Tu was also a cherished grandmother to Jacob and Nicholas Mazzotta. She was a sister to Binh Nguyen, Tuyen Nguyen, Can Nguyen, and An Nguyen.

Tu Nguyen fought a brave and valiant battle against brain cancer for over two years. Her strength and determination throughout this challenging journey were an inspiration to all who knew her. Tu was a resident of Pickering, Ontario, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and kindness.

For over three decades, Tu dedicated herself to the noble profession of teaching. She was an incredible educator who touched the lives of countless students with her wisdom, compassion, and dedication. Her commitment to her students was unwavering, and she never stopped giving her best in the classroom. Her colleagues knew her as a kind and supportive soul, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Tu Nguyen was not only a remarkable teacher but also an amazing friend. Her generosity, warmth, and love knew no bounds. She had a heart that was always open, and she made friends wherever she went. Tu's smile could light up a room, and her laughter was infectious.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that those who wish to honor Tu Nguyen's memory make a donation in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society. Your contribution will help in the ongoing fight against the disease that touched her life so deeply.

Tu Nguyen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on in our hearts, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.

Please join us to celebrate Tu Nguyen's life, and together, we can find comfort in the shared love and memories we hold of her. Your presence would mean a lot to us during this time of remembrance.

Rest in peace, Tu. You will forever be remembered and cherished.
