In memory of

Tu Ha

December 4, 1941 -  June 3, 2020

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Tu Ha was 79 years old when he passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2020. He left behind his loving wife, Mrs. Khanh Nguyen, two sons, Chi and Trach Ha, and their respective families including two granddaughters.

Born in Mong Cai, Quan Ninh, Vietnam to a family of 3 children, an older brother and younger sister, Tu was the middle child. He grew up in a simple family following the values and beliefs of Buddhism. Tu was gifted with a talent for sports; he became a recognized basketball player and played competitively for a national league in his 20’s. He was also a great swimmer, sprinter and a well-rounded athlete in his younger years.

Tu and his wife immigrated to Canada in the early 1980’s. Arriving to a new country with no English skills and no money, Tu was determined to start a better life for his family. Alongside his wife, they began to work tirelessly in the same general labour job over the next 30 years.

In his senior years, Tu especially enjoyed the company of his two precious granddaughters during their weekly visits. He also enjoyed watching sports and cheered for his favourite soccer team, Brazil. He kept busy by gardening and playing ping-pong matches with his friends at a local community centre.

Tu wanted nothing more than to live a life of simplicity, and be surrounded by his loving family. He is remembered for his giving spirit and honesty. He will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Nguyen would like to sincerely apologize to all families and friends for the strict restriction that is currently imposed on Mr. Ha’s visitation and funeral service, due to COVID 19. If you would like to join the family during the service on Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 at 9am, live streaming will be available beginning at 8:55am.
