In Loving Memory of Dr. Trong Do

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trong Do, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Trong's life was a life well-lived, marked by an unwavering dedication to his family and his Buddhist faith. He was a beacon of strength and perseverance, having survived a civil war and a treacherous escape by boat to build a new life for his family in Canada. Throughout it all, he faced adversity with quiet stoicism, all the while exuding a great sense of generosity to inspire us all.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Phuong-Thao, and his children: Anh (Albert), Huy (Chanh) and Nam. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, My-Linh, Yu-Lin, Myah, Jaemi and Erik.

Trong's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the Do family kindly requests that donations be made in his honor to Sunnybrook Foundation or the Vietnamese Buddhist Meditation Center. You can find the donation link under the donations tab at the top of the page, or the donation link at the bottom of the page:
