In memory of

Triada Nitsopoulos

March 4, 1939 -  February 1, 2023

Triada Nitsopoulos (nee Giantsopoulos)
March 4, 1939, Vevi, Florina, Greece
February 1, 2023, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

On Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, Triada passed away peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital at the age of 84 surrounded by her adoring husband of 66 years, Mike, and her five children: May, Christine, Jim, Evangeline, and Sophie. Also, lovingly with her as she peacefully transitioned were Mary, Rain, and Tom. Her brilliant grandchildren will continue her legacy of determination, compassion, and tenderness: Candice (Jonny), Stephanie, Christopher (Erika), Michelle, Jordan, Deanna (Josh), Michael, Madison (Drae), and Jenna. She was also endlessly dedicated to her siblings: the late Morfia, the late Evangelos (Angelo), Mary, and Niko.

Triada was a woman with great resilience, yet her seemingly quiet nature would have you underestimate her strength, tenacity, and resolve. She had a dry sense of humour and was extremely observant, more so than most people ever knew.

A public celebration of her life will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre at 625 Birchmount Road in Scarborough from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm on Monday, February 6th. A funeral service and interment will follow the next day on Tuesday, February 7th at Pine Hills Cemetery at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Toronto, or your favourite charity would be a wonderful blessing. With gratitude and peace.
