In memory of

Trevor Lance Brathwaite

August 21, 1931 -  November 19, 2023

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Trevor Lance Brathwaite. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He was 92 years old. He will be greatly missed by his wife Elsa, children Gail, Ava, Donna and Learie. He was proud grandfather of 12; and devoted great grandfather of 14. Predeceased by his parents Dorothy Brathwaite and Denton Ezekel Henley and his sister Ms. Meta Hoyte. Family to the Romilly's, Callender's and Quamie's.

Trevor was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago on August 21, 1931. He migrated to Canada in 1967. As a dedicated welder, he was a member of United Association of Plumbers, Steamfitters and Welders, Local 46 up until retirement.

Trevor loved entertaining people. he had a HUGE heart. He loved music and spent many years promoting singers (calypsonians) to Canada to perform at events. Our father was considered a pioneer to new immigrants to Canada in the 60's and 70's. Trevor is one of the original founding members of "The Original Trinidad and Tobago Old Boyz" association.

He loved to visit Trinidad and upon retirement built a home where he and his wife spent many memorable years.

The family of Trevor wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the love, prayers and support they have received in the last week.

Rest In peace dear Dad.

We met Trevor through a mutual friend in the Malton area. Even though we lived some 30mins away, we got together almost every weekend, even while very pregnant with Michelle. We had fun times and Trevor was always the one with the jokes. We had memorable trips to the US, on one particular visit to New York, it was laughter evermore, during a domino game Trevor took out a 'big teeth' comb and passed it through his bald head, and said , let me think about this play. More laughter. Dear Trevor you will be missed my friend. Our deepest and most sincere sympathy to the immediate family. Trevor may you RIP and rise in Glory with your Father in Heaven.
