In memory of

Traudl Hedwig Elisabeth Flock

November 24, 1950 -  July 7, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Traudl “Lisa” Hedwig Elisabeth Flock, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Traudl lived a life marked by intellect, grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
A lifelong student of the world and healer, she brought warmth and wisdom to her work and her community through her 40-year career as a family physician. Her passion for knowledge was matched only by her devotion to her family, who were the centre of her world.
She is predeceased by her mother, Gisela (nee Heiden) and father, Heinz-Rudolf. She is survived by her devoted husband Jack Dinsdale, their four cherished children Michael, Christopher (Julie), Blair (Katie), Shaina (Alan) and ten adoring grandchildren (Orion, Livia, Viktoria, Adam, Riley, Logan, Miles, Corinne, Axel and Violet) who brought her endless joy and pride. Traudl also leaves behind her beloved brother Bernd (Karin) and two dear nieces (Heidi and Kati). She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, along with countless others whose lives she touched with kindness and generosity. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the knowledge she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
An uplifting celebration of life will take place on October 4th, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm at Heydenshore Pavilion (589 Water Street, Whitby ON). A presentation and speeches from loved ones will commence at 2:45pm followed by light bites, joy and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Traudl’s memory to Lakeridge Health Oshawa where she worked during her career and received her final care, or Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre where she trained and received treatment.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, but comforted with the memories of time spent together over the years. Traudll was one of a kind-her generosity of spirit was matched with her love for others, keen wit and willingness to learn new things. Forever a Fogie, Forever in out Hearts

To All the Family:
I got to know Traudl through our book club (the sisterhood) and feel grateful to have had the chance to meet her. From the first day, I was drawn to her quiet warmth and curiousity. She was an outstanding woman.
It is with great sadness that I write to you. At this very difficult time, I hope that you are celebrating Traudl’s wonderful life which I am sure was filled with much laughter. Know that we are blessing her memory and will be left with our own wonderful memories as well.
With Condolences, Mardi Hirshberg
