In memory of

Tran Yen Thu Thi

March 9, 1958 -  December 5, 2019

Yen Thu was a devoted wife, loving mother, and friend to many. She was selfless and caring. She found happiness in the little things and lived a simple life raising her two sons while also caring for her nieces and nephew. Her husband treated her very well and she had a long and happy marriage that ended with his passing 11 years ago. She continued to be strong for her two boys. She was born in Vietnam and then moved to Canada. She worked as a seamstress and supported her husband's schooling. She also supported her many brothers and sisters at the same time. She became a wonderful house wife and eventually a basket designer, which she enjoyed very much. She was unfairly taken by complications from brain cancer. She was very cared for by family and friends throughout her time of difficulty and passed on peacefully in the presence of her loved ones. Her gentle smile will be missed by all that knew her.

I love you so much Co Thu. I will miss you so much. I will never forget everything that you have done for our family. Some of my best memories are from when you allowed Tuan and me to come to Canada for a month while you took care of us. Then 10 years later letting us come and stay with you again. You always cared about us and I really appreciate it. Thank you for everything you did for me and my family. I love you.

I’m so sorry to hear of Yen’s passing. She was a beautiful woman with a heart full of gold who gave the best hugs. She was warm and caring and always had the biggest smile on her face. My thoughts are with her family, especially her boys who she spoke of often. Rest easy Yen, I will miss you.

Gia đình tôi xin chia buồn cùng gia đình chị Thu. Chúng tôi rất đau buồn khi được tin về chị. Thật không ngờ bây giờ chị đã đoàn tụ với anh Chiến!

Her gentle smile and generosity towards my family will be forever with us.

We think about and wish the best to her sons during this difficult time. We will always think about and stand by them!
