In memory of

Toula Poletes

January 28, 1941 -  December 24, 2024

It is with great sadness, that we share the passing of our matriarch Toula Poletes, beloved wife of George (predeceased), mother of John and Betty and grandmother to Georgia, Christopher and Luke. Toula passed on Christmas Eve Tuesday December 24, 2024 in Newmarket, Ontario.

Born as Christina Koutsaris on January 28, 1941 in Tripi, Lakonia, Greece, she was known by her loved ones as Toula and was later ordained as Sister Timothei of the Greek Orthodox Church.

She was daughter of the late George and Panagiota Koutsaris and was one of six siblings. Toula cherished her children, was a loving grandmother and loved her many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Toula will be remembered by all for her generosity, her hospitality, and her dedication and loyalty to those she loved. She was a devout Christian that dedicated herself to the Lord.

Toula will be forever missed but never forgotten by her family and those near and dear to her heart. Rest in peace Toula. May her memory be eternal in our hearts.

Family & friends are welcomed to attend the funeral service on Saturday January 4, 2024 at 10 a.m. at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (3125 Bayview Ave, Toronto). Interment to follow at York Cemetery at 160 Beecroft Road., North York. Makaria reception at Santorini Estiatoria in Markham ON following the interment.
