The Yu family is saddened to announce the loss of Ting-Huan, who passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021 in his 98th year. Beloved husband to Chi Ying (Nee. Cheung (d.1981), proud father to Pansy Shum (Richard), Alan Yu (Lynette), Caroline Lau (Francis), Betty Chan (Joseph) and Cindy Tong (Thomas). Adored grandfather to Robert, Allison, Jennifer, Andrew, Vivian, Connie, Chris, Audrey and Jonathan. Great-Grandfather to Andor, Sloan, Carter, Garrett, Jared and Harper. Ting-Huan will be dearly missed by his family.

Ting-Huan worked hard to bring his family to Canada and the US from Hong Kong for a better life. His family will be eternally grateful for his sacrifice and foresight. Ting-Huan was an entrepreneur who helped run Clasi Frames Art Gallery for 37 years, whose mantra was that “you always had to be honest to the customer”. To his family “Na-gong” will be fondly remembered for his sense of style and love for dim sum.

A Visitation in Ting-Huan’s memory will be held on Monday, July 5th from 11:30 – 12:30 pm at York Funeral Centre. An interment will follow in York Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19, our capacity is limited and attendance at the funeral must be considered by invitation only. The Yu family greatly appreciates your ongoing support during this difficult time.
