In memory of

Timothy George McGregor

October 30, 1953 -  March 9, 2022

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022. He is predeceased by his father George, mother Jean and daughter Erin. Surviving him is his sister Sue McGregor and sons Mark McGregor, Patrick (& Amanda) McGregor & Neil (& Taylor) McGregor, along with two grandchildren Emma & Erin and uncle to nieces Kira and Kelsey. Aside from survived family members are a multitude of friends he easily made through life.

Tim grew up in Scarborough and attended Regent Heights Public School before attending and graduating from W.A.Porter Collegiate. He excelled at hockey, having played in the Metro Jr. B League for the Aurora Tigers and was such a prominent Track & Field athlete that as a runner he held the Scarborough High School, 100 Yard record for over Twenty Years. After graduation, Tim worked for the Ontario Government and traveled the far reaches of the province to help promote and encourage participation in a wide range of recreational sports.
He eventually became employed by Toronto Hydro where he remained until retirement.

On the side, Tim continued in his father’s footsteps by becoming a skilled, finished carpenter and where examples of his craftsmanship will exist for many years to come. Beyond these accomplishments, Tim excelled with the aide of his Irish Heritage as a ‘Master of Malarkey & Shenanigans’ throughout his lifetime. His personality was unforgettable, with memories that would begin upon first introductions.

So for those who have a sense of humor, he was known to be very entertaining, likable and that upon each encounter you would look forward to the next time you would see and be laughing with him again.
McGregor will be missed but fondly remembered. Closure to his life on earth will be held within his family.
