In memory of

Thomas Wilfred Attwood

August 16, 1938 -  June 15, 2021

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Thomas “Tommy” Attwood June 15, 2021, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He was the son of the late Wilfred “Dope” and Christena “Tena” (MacDonald) Attwood of Glace Bay, NS.

He was an avid sports fan, playing baseball and hockey for a majority of his life, then retiring his hockey stick and baseball glove for a bingo dabber.

He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife Joan (MacKenzie). Also surviving is daughter Sherri (Bruce Chiasson), son Brian, grandchildren Crystal, Melissa, Cody, Leanne, Peter, Collin, Connor, Kyle and great-granddaughter Tanisha.

Tommy is also survived by his sister Audrey (Jim Blacklock), as well as several brother/sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Tommy is predeceased by his son Glenn, daughter in-law Arleen, brother Allan Attwood and sisters Ann Nicholson and Phyllis “Sister” MacLeod.

Tommy will be dearly missed by all who knew him and will forever live in our hearts.

There will be no service at this time until our family can gather and say our goodbyes together.
