In memory of

Thomas "Tom" Simopoulos

May 5, 1950 -  September 25, 2020

After a tough battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Simopoulos. Our hearts are broken in a million tiny pieces.

Best friend and confidant to his wife Debbie, Tom fiercely loved his children Robert (Tara), Andrew (Brigette) and Caitlin (Luke) and was very proud of them. He adored his grandchildren Gavin, Madalyn, Levi and Liam and revelled in every accomplishment they made. Fondly remembered by his sister Angela and his extended family.

Tom was a great storyteller and an avid Maple Leaf fan. We already miss his laughter that would fill the room.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the family has requested that the in-person visitation and service remain private. A live webcast will be offered instead. If desired, in memoriam donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Trillium Health Partners.

The family would like to send our heartfelt thanks to the hardworking doctors and nurses on 1E and 0A at Credit Valley Hospital.

**Please note: a live webcast of Tom's funeral service will be available in a clickable link at 1:45pm. Please refresh your browser after 1:45pm to access the link at the top of the memorial page**

Dear Debra and Family,

Despite his illness, he was willing to try to improve his function during our visits. Looking back, it was incredible that he was able to do what he did... It was a pleasure to reconnect with your family but I am sorry that it occurred under the circumstances that existed.

My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.

Susan
