In memory of

Thien Hong Tang

March 20, 1960 -  July 18, 2021

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that our family announces the passing of our mother, Thien Hong (Jennifer) Tang on July 18, 2021 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. We take this occasion to celebrate her life, strength, wisdom and the bravery she embraced throughout her journey fighting this devastating disease.

She was the beloved wife of Hanh Phuc (Tony) Ngo for over 33 years, and leaves behind her husband and two children: Nathalie and Philip. She arrived in Canada from Vietnam as a refugee and spent her hardworking life building a beautiful family of 4 and forging many friendships over the years with former classmates and coworkers.

Her fondness for food, travel and social activities created lasting friendships with others from all over the world. Her untimely death has devastated many and we are deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support for us at this time.

We would like to take this occasion to bring awareness to the devastating effects of cancer and emphasize the importance of being proactive with your health and annual physical screenings. Her son Philip will keep her legacy, story and memory by continuing to raise awareness of cancer and fundraise for research. This year, he will be participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure with the Canadian Cancer Society. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to donate on his page: philngo.ca

Rest In Peace Mom. Forever in our hearts.

My deepest condolences to Fook goh, Nathalie, and Phil. I am so sorry for your loss and apologize for not being there in person to celebrate Hong jeh's life with you. She was a very kind, loving, and supportive older cousin to me and I will miss her. To my mother, I think Hong jeh was the child she never had so I think she will miss Hong jeh even more. May Hong jeh rest in peace and live on in our hearts.
