In memory of

Theodoros Gertsakis

October 6, 1959 -  June 28, 2021

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that the family of Ted Gertsakis
announces his sudden passing on June 28th 2021. He will be sadly missed by
his loving wife Marilia Perdigao, his son Craig Gertsakis and wife Diana,
daughter Ashley Gertsakis and step son Ryan Liechti and wife Chelsea.
He was a loving son to Stavros (deceased) and Maria Gertsakis, brother to
Chris Gertsakis and wife Lisa, Elsie Beiles and husband Rob. He was a proud
grandfather to Paxton and Vanessa. He will be missed by his family including
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a number of friends
and coworkers.
Ted was born in Florina and moved to Canada with his family when he was 9.
He was a proud member of the International Union of Painters and Allied
Trades. He lived with his wife and mother in Toronto and was a loving Dad
and Grandpa.
Ted was cheerful, kind, dependable and hardworking. He enjoyed going on
holidays and to car shows with his wife Marilia. He loved spending time with
friends and family and being outdoors working in the yard or on his GTO with
his son and more than anything, spending time with his grandchildren.
Ted was a man who took great pride in his work and was a great mentor to
many of his co-workers. He was recognized and will be remembered for his
hard work and dedication to his job.
Ted will be forever missed by his friends and family.
May he Rest In Peace.

I am so hart broken for Ted, although we have not seen each other for 5yrs we did keep in touch. Ted was hoping to go out at 65 to enjoy retirement with his family and travel to the sun to avoid the winters. Rest in peace Ted, never forgotten. Steve

Our deepest condolences go to our Dear Cousin Marilia Perdigao and to Ted's son Craig Gertsakis, as they lost a 24 year life companion (Marilia) and a father (Craig), and to Ted's mother, Maria Gertsakis, for the loss of her eldest son.
We know that his memories will forever stay alive in the hearts of those that loved him and shared moments in life with him. He will be greatly missed, and the broken hearts left behind, in time will remember the happy memories with fondness and smiles for the caring moments they shared. Our hearts are with you, and our love and support is with you always.
Words cannot wipe away upper tears
Hugs won't ease your pain away...
But hold on to your memories
Because forever they will stay!
Our family's deepest Sympathies - Benedita + Dennis + Joshua + Kira
