In memory of

Thelma Stuart-Linklater

February 4, 1923 -  May 12, 2024

STUART-LINKLATER, Thelma Jean (nee Thomas)

Thelma passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2024 in her 102nd year.
Beloved wife of the late Charles John (Ian) Stuart (1993) and wife of the late Harold Linklater (2004) in her later years. Thelma is lovingly remembered by her children late Barb (late Bill), Bill (Linda) and Janice (late Doug) also by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was admired and loved by her brother Harold (Carol) and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Thelma was a beautiful and poised woman who was always put together like a true lady. She loved to show care for others by offering them a bite to eat, or a card or poem. She was very proud of her family as well as her many oil paintings and sketches.
She led a full and good life in her 101 years. So many who knew her will miss her stories and her sense of humour. However, she has left all of us with many beautiful memories.
There will be a small PRIVATE family interment on May 28th at 2 pm.
Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) Donations will be gratefully accepted for the Alzheimer Society or your own favourite charity.

Thelma was such a beautiful lady & her daughter, Janice & I have been friends for many years. Thelma & my Mother looked after our children once when Doug, Janice, Bob & I went on vacation & they had a great time.
Thelma will be greatly missed by our family. She was a wonderful Nana!

A truly wonderful person who experienced much in life and enjoyed her many trips through Canada, the U.S. and Portugal. She loved her family and would do anything for them. Mom will be truly missed.

Deeply saddened to hear of Thelma’s death. She was a dear lady. A true lady. A lovely human being. My heart goes out to all members of her family at this time.
Rest in peace Thelma.
Love
Katherine
